海南亚太观察研究院

  海南亚太观察研究院，以“服务国家战略，研究国际问题，促进民间交流”为宗旨，以综合发展为导向，研究领域涵盖亚太国家和地区的政治、经济和文化。设有理事会、学术委员会、院务委员会等决策、咨询、监督、执行机构。为使各项业务有效地开展，学术委员会下设学术部、全球治理研究中心、海洋发展战略研究中心、地区发展与合作研究中心等部门，院务委员会下设行政办公室、信息中心和外联部。

  海南亚太观察研究院坚持“小机构、大网络”理念，积极推动学术信息互通、学术资源共享和学术网络共建，与国内相关机构及东南亚、南亚多国智库、高校院所建立合作伙伴关系。经过十余年发展，研究院在亚太地区政经研究、决策咨询、二轨交流等方面取得丰硕成果。

  海南亚太观察研究院将充分抓住海南自由贸易港建设的历史机遇，发挥海南作为最大经济特区、具有实施全面深化改革和试验最高水平开放政策的独特优势，凭借丰富的研究经验和国际性的学术合作网络，解放思想，大胆创新，洞察先机，透视未来，朝着创建一流的交叉学科研究机构的目标迈进。

Hainan Institute for World Watch (HNIWW), is devoted to “serve the national strategies by researching international issues and promoting people-to-people exchanges.” It focuses on the study of the politics, economics and culture of Asia-Pacific countries and regions. It is administered by the Council, the Academic Affairs Committee and the Administrative Affairs Committee. The Academic Affairs Committee is composed of the Research Center for Global Governance, the Research Center for Maritime Strategy and the Research Center for Regional Development and Cooperation. The Administrative Affairs Committee is composed of the Administration Office, Information Center and External Liaison Office.

The HNIWW adheres to the idea to build a “shared-platform of academic resources”, and has successfully built academic partnerships with its counterparts in domestic and abroad, especially in Southeast Asia and South Asia. Over the past decade, the HNIWW has made fruitful achievements in the research on politics & economics of Asia-Pacific countries and regions, strategic consultancy, track-II exchanges and other aspects.

As China’s largest special economic zone, Hainan is uniquely positioned to further all-round reform and experiment with the highest level of opening-up policy. With the Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port released in 2020, the HNIWW will seize the opportunities brought by the policies, and rely on abundant experience and international academic partnerships, to grow into a first-class and inter-disciplinary research institution.
